Disney March Madness, Year 5: Best Disney Channel Original Movie
The Penultimate Round
It all comes down to this week! Today, the final Four. Thursday, the Championship. And next Monday, our final film standing will be announced. We’ll know the best DCOM once and for all, with absolutely no room left for debate. (lol)
An Exciting Elite Eight
While the Elite 8 round was mostly uneventful (3 of the Final Four won by a margin of over 40 votes), one match-up was absolute chaos. Every time I checked the votes, the results were different—sometimes Halloweentown was up by 3, at one point High School Musical was ahead by 6, and most of the time they were in a dead tie, like in this screenshot I grabbed 132 votes in!
Ultimately, when I closed the form Sunday night, Halloweentown won by just ONE VOTE, with a score of 97-96. With the Elite 8 closed, all our male-lead movies are gone, and we have a very Feminine Forward Final Four (TM)… and the Raven v. Raven match-up of our dreams.
